Woody Woodpecker Racing, a kart-racing game similar to Mario Kart, was originally released on PC, PlayStation, and Game Boy Color, but its Dreamcast version was cancelled. In 2023, video game archivists rediscovered and partially restored the Dreamcast version from source code and development kits, enabling it to run on real hardware despite missing audio and incomplete features. Although the game is not yet perfect and not officially released, a playable prototype has been made available online, preserving this lost piece of Dreamcast history for the community.
The discovery and the release of the Dreamcast Unreleased version of Woody Woodpecker Racing made possible by 2 video game archivists. Published by Konami and developed by Syrox Developments, the game was released on PC, Playstation and Game Boy Color but it will finally be cancelled on Dreamcast.
