86Box v6.0, released in May 2026, introduces new hardware support, performance improvements, and user interface enhancements including configurable hard disk sounds and a local networking switch for multi-machine connectivity. The update streamlines video card selection by merging similar cards into chipset categories and migrates custom key bindings to a system-wide preferences page. It adds Windows ARM64 support and raises the minimum macOS version to Mojave 10.14. Numerous bug fixes, usability improvements, and expanded serial/parallel device features are also included.
