The latest update to PS2 Launcher (version 4.0.0) enhances PlayStation 2 game management by unifying multiple storage methods like USB, HDD, MX4SIO, and network shares into a single library with cover artwork and sorting options. It supports modern wired controllers including DualShock 3, 4, DualSense, Xbox One, and Xbox Series, enabling multiplayer without a physical multitap. The update also adds virtual memory cards, PS1 game launching, cheat support, language settings, and improved video display options, making the launcher a comprehensive front end built on Open PS2 Loader. Additionally, an in-game reset feature allows returning to the launcher without rebooting the console.
