On day one in Germany, a single Rattagatta node deployed on a T-Dongle-S3 detected 22,675 Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) devices, with 14,804 being connectable and 7,797 successfully connected and indexed. The average signal strength (RSSI) of connected devices was -88, identifying 1,056 unique characteristic/service pairs. The ecosystem showed widespread use of brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, and Polestar, along with various smart devices and embedded Bluetooth APIs in taxi hardware. This reveals a dense and diverse network of connected BTLE devices in Germany, comparable to the US but with distinct device distributions.
