The release of Bun 1.4, rewritten from Zig to Rust mainly by AI, signals a transformative shift in software development where manual coding and detailed human review are becoming obsolete. AI agents are now capable of producing large, complex, and refined software rapidly, with humans focusing more on supervising the end results rather than the code itself. This trend is exemplified by massive AI-assisted projects and the increasing volume of code generated by AI models, suggesting a future where software creation is dominated by AI-driven processes. Despite potential issues with quality, this new paradigm promises unprecedented software output and efficiency.
