Flycast Libretro now supports online multiplayer for Dreamcast games through modem and PPP support, using dreamcastlive.net to enable gameplay even when original servers are offline. This zero-configuration feature works seamlessly across Windows, Linux, Android, and possibly macOS, requiring no IP address input. Players can easily set up online play by entering any username, password, and local phone number within compatible games like Quake III Arena and Phantasy Star Online. The update marks the first time a Dreamcast emulator offers true zero-configuration online multiplayer, with future plans for keyboard and mouse support.
