Whither Swift?

The article discusses Apple's uncertain future plans regarding Swift and Objective-C, highlighting developer skepticism despite Apple's initial assurances that both languages would coexist indefinitely. While Swift has rapidly gained popularity among third-party developers as the future of Apple platform development, Apple itself has been slow to adopt Swift internally, maintaining a vast Objective-C codebase. Ultimately, the article warns developers to remain cautious about Swift’s presumed dominance given Apple's history of shifting strategies.
