yo guys, another guide - all about Shipping & Custom Problems. I seriously get sooooooo many PM's especially from Germans, asking me how I manage to receive all my packages even though I live in Germany, even though the German Customs are strict (they are not) when it comes to counterfeit items from China.
First thing you need to know
Most of the comments you read on Q&A Threads about Shipping/Package seizing is pure bullshit!
And this is why many people are terrified to buy something. Especially the Germans
Safest Shipping Method?
DHL: 95% success rate.
PostNL: 99% success rate.
ePacket: 99% success rate.
EMS: no experience
TNT: 30-40% success rate.
Overview of my Packages in the past + Shipping Company used:
16x DHL = 16x delivered. 4x Held at Customs for value declaration. (Were all shoe orders)
6x PostNL = 6x delivered. (3 of them were shoe orders)
4x ePacket = 4x delivered. (weren't shoes)
0x EMS = 0x delivered.
4x TNT = 1x delivered. 3x seized. Fuck them.
(For the Germans)
Estimated delivery time to Germany
DHL: 1-4 days after the Package got picked up.
PostNL: 10-14 days.
ePacket: 10-21 days.
EMS: 3-7 days.
TNT: 12-36 hours. ridiculously fast! But fuck them.
Details & Informations about your Package
Value of the Package should be around $15-$22. (All seller know this already)
Package needs to be declared as 'shoes' unfortunately for some reason.
DO NOT ship more than 2 shoes as 1 package.
If you are someone who likes to collect his shoe boxes like I do then you can let them ship with the shoe box. It would lower the risk if you ship without Shoe box though. (All my shoes were shipped with the Shoe box)
Package held at customs, what can you do?
You need to see what DHL is saying. Most of the time they just want proof of Payment because they feel like the $15-$22 value isn't correct.
Customs value declaration: DHL wants you to send them a proof of Payment. Obviously you can't send them the correct Receipt because it has all the famous Brand words + you'll end up paying a lot of fees because they'll see you paid 100+.
What I always do - I go on my yTaoPal Account - Orders and chose my most recent order and right click and click on Inspect Element then I just change the details on there, for example I update the order date // replace the tracking number. Example picture: http://imgur.com/a/zkpDy
You just need to find a website where you have a recent order, for example on the PerfectKicks Website.
Then I attach the picture in the E-Mail and the package gets put through the next day usually.
Legit Checking: If this happens then theres nothing you can do. They'll contact Adidas/Nike to make sure its fake and once its confirmed by them, Customs just destroy the package. THATS IT! There are no Legal proceedings, no $1.000 fees to pay or anything like that! You basically just lost your shoe/order but most of these sellers will re-send you a new pair for free anyways.
