Deathsmiles got a mobile port some years ago, including a unique mode where you play as a different character Tiara. The game featured RPG mechanics with loot drops from enemies and bosses and stats that you can raise by equipping them. In practice, this means you have to do some grinding on lower difficulties before you can tackle harder ones. Max continues are increased by buying the upgrade from the ingame shop. You only get items from the stage if you complete it, so it's best to have a continue on hand to at least credit feed the stage to finish with your drops. Hard is equivalent to picking the highest rank on each level in Arcade, so that means suicide bullets from the 5th stage onwards. There doesn't seem to be slowdown programmed in, which makes later stages quite hard (and making me have to credit feed through them). This mode has a unique final boss, with the second final boss only being available on Normal and Hard. There is no TLB to the best of my knowledge. Easy has a unique Bad Ending; Normal has Endings A and B available depending on choice; Hard adds Ending C as an option. Custom outfits are obtained on each of the above 4 endings, as well as outfits for each of the main player characters from Arcade depending on who you dealt the least damage to during the final boss. You'll know whose outfit you'll get by whose familiar you have during the second final boss. Arcade shottypes are equipped via the weapon slot. The weapons are rare drops on Hard, from different stages/bosses. (In this run I'm using Windia's shottype.) The Satan Doll accessory I have equipped increases the gold drop rate by 4x, which is very useful in getting Hypers more often (and is also useful for scoring, if you're into that sort of thing.) As of this time of writing, CAVE doesn't seem to be planning to update the app to be compatible with later iOS versions, so it is likely this port will soon be destined for obscurity, along with its unique features. Even though it's not a 1CC, it's best to archive some footage of the game while I can, I suppose.
