The GB01 is used through our purpose-built application, which allows you to read and write ROMs and save from the comfort of your computer.
The app is built with user-friendliness in mind — backing your retro games up should be just as easy as anything else.
The application runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and receives regular updates, also updating the device's firmware.

Keep your saves forever
You've worked hard for your save files, and now you can keep them forever. Never worry about losing a save because of a game battery running out ever again. With the GB01, you can download your saves directly to your computer and load them up into an emulator.
If you use save editors, the GB01 allows you to edit your saves, uploading the customised saves to the cartridge itself. You can finally give yourself 10 Mews in Pokémon Gold, on the actual cartridge.

Legally Play Your Original ROMs
Legally play your Game Boy games on an emulator by dumping the ROMs from your cartridges. This way, you can archive the exact game from your childhood forever.
Coming Soon: Flash Writing — Want to play homebrew games? Want to make your own Game Boy games? In the future, you'll be able to use the GB01 to write to rewritable cartridges. This feature will be available for the existing hardware, and will be delivered as a firmware update.
Get Your Game Boy Camera Pictures
With the GB01, it's easy to download images from your Game Boy Camera as PNGs directly to your computer. You can finally put those snaps on Instagram for ultimate retro coolness!
Add Image Filters Right From the App
Tired of the same old black-and-white Game Boy Camera pictures? The GB01 app has got your back — add colours to your retro photos by choosing from one of the filters we've built right into the app!

Package
The kit comes with the device itself, without an enclosure, in an ESD protection bag. A USB-C to USB-A cable in also included, so that you can connect the device to your computer. The GB01 manual is available online, which also includes instructions on downloading and using the software.
