Celeste Genre: Platformer About the game: Celeste follows a young woman named Madeline as she attempts to climb the titular Celeste Mountain, a fictional mountain in western Canada that seemingly possesses the power to manifest one's inner turmoil and "true self" into reality. As she climbs the mountain she encounters several other characters, including Theo, an aspiring photographer from Seattle who came to the mountain to take pictures; an old woman who lives on the mountain; Mr. Oshiro, the ghost of the concierge of an abandoned hotel on the mountain; and a hostile "part" of Madeline that has been given form by the mountain. Madeline suffers from depression and panic attacks, and as she climbs the mountain, she is forced to face and overcome her inner demons in addition to the trials that the mountain provides.
