  Controllers encyclopaedia - as good as it gets

  If you are searching for a encyclopaedia of controllers, this is as close as you can get to one today. I was able to find the exact ones I have still packed with my Amiga :). Must have.

  Second Book I bought from Bitmap

  The first one was Beat ‘em up, and when I saw the quality I search about more books from them. This is the second one and I think I will buy many more in the future.

  A high quality book

  I have several of these books now, and they have a nice hefty feel to them. The hardcovers are solid, and the pages are vibrant and glossy. Occasionally I feel like the text is a bit small, but that might just be my own fault for becoming middle-aged. My relatives all warned me not to do that. Oh well.

  A Book that Does not Disappoint - Bitmap quality all the way, and I've purchased more than a dozen books from this publisher. Continues the standard established years ago.

  A cornerstone of my gaming experience involved buying every single Square game that got released beginning with Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III (FF 6 to the Super Famicom population) remains what I think is the single greatest RPG ever created. So many others consumed my free time, and I was already closing in on my 30's when they came out. This book encompasses revisiting so many of those fantastic RPG's in a manner that takes me back to a magical time. What was surprising though was, yes, Chrono-Trigger, Breath of Fire, Illusion of Gaia, Earthbound are covered in the first part of this tome, but so are games that don't fit that mold of standard RPG's. Actraiser (Another favorite, and a great transitional piece of how light computer sim game elements drew this computer RPG fan into the console fold), King of Dragons, Knights of the Round Table.... this first book covers the spectrum of fantasy escapism, even if it doesn't fit into the what some people don't see in the category of "RPG's", but totally are with the book breaking down what qualifies even these Action-Arcade games into the same family. I can't wait until Volume 2, not only to revisit games I've played, but games that I have yet to submerge myself into, like "Terranigma" A beautiful book that fits the fantastic standard that Bitmap Books has maintained for years.
